Orthodontics
Traditional dental impressions have their drawbacks. They are uncomfortable, expensive, time-consuming, and prone to errors. At our clinic, we use digital dental impressions, a cutting-edge technology that eliminates the need for molds altogether. To get the digital impressions, we use a handheld camera called an intraoral scanner, to scan your teeth. The result is accurate measurements and data, which are used to create a detailed 3D digital scan of your mouth.
Our digital scans not only save time, ensure precise results, and cut down on material costs compared to traditional impressions, but they also prioritize your comfort above all else. Now, you can sit back and relax knowing that your well-being is our top priority.
Braces can be necessary for several reasons related to teeth alignment and bite issues. Here are some examples:
- Crowding: This happens when teeth grow on top of one another or overlap.
- Spacing: When the teeth are irregularly spaced, creating wide gaps in your smile. Crowding: This occurs when teeth grow on top of one another or overlap.
- Overbite: When the bottom teeth occasionally bite into the roof of the mouth or are hidden entirely when biting down.
- Underbite: When the lower teeth overlap the upper front teeth.
Open Bite: This condition is characterized by a noticeable gap between the upper and lower teeth when a person smiles.
If minimal aesthetic changes are needed, the duration for braces can range from just a few weeks to as much as six months. However, the average treatment time for braces is typically 12 to 24 months. As each patient´s mouth is unique, this duration is assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on the severity of the condition and the required treatment.
